Rob was born and raised in Launceston, Tasmania. He has lived and worked across the Territory for almost 20 years.
He has been the Member for Daly since 2005 and a Minister since early 2008.
He is currently Minister for Local Government and Minister for Central Australia
He has made a name for himself with his roll-up-his-sleeves attitude and extensive travel to meet as many Territorians as he can.
Rural electorate in the north of the Territory, mainly west of the Stuart Highway. It surrounds the electorate of Katherine, including some parts of the town west of the Katherine River, as well as the communities of Pine Creek, Batchelor, Daly Waters, Daly River, Port Keats and Timber Creek. Covers 161,109 sq.km, with 45% of the electorate's population of indigenous origin. (ABC elections website)
