A re-elected Albanese Labor Government would put $5 million towards the construction of the Elliott Community Centre.
This election commitment will allow stage one of the project to go ahead, repurposing the site of a former petrol station on the Stuart Highway.
This funding will deliver an arts precinct that includes a new community library and art gallery to showcase local artists.
Barkly Regional Council has advocated for this project and Federal Labor has listened.
Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
